Startup’s. It’s a hot word in the world, especially the world of entrepreneurship. People think of all sorts of company’s when they think of successful startups, such as Facebook, Tesla Motors, Square and other various companies. But there’s also the other tech related companies such as cleantech or better yet, us... CleanNG.
In a recent global competition, CleanNG was named as one of the best and brightest new startups in the world, by Global Entrepreneurship Week (GEW). CleanNG competed with nearly 400 applicants in 17 countries to be named 1 of 50 global startups. In addition, CleanNG was announced as one of “The Most Promising New Companies” by CNBC. This is a huge recognition to our organization. Not only to be acknowledged by the likes of a CNBC, but to be recognized on a global scale by Startup Open and a GEW.
We are tremendously excited to receive this type of recognition on a global scale. CleanNG has long seen the potential for substantial growth in the CNG storage industry. Historically, two of the largest challenges to wider adoption of CNG as a transportation fuel have been the space taken up by the fuel tanks and the additional weight they add to the vehicle. Our innovative design is a huge step forward in overcoming these challenges. This recognition is great timing for us. We’ve really been gaining momentum and this has really boosted our online presence and global exposure. We’re excited to be recognized as a GEW top 50 and by CNBC.
Global Entrepreneurship Week is a celebration of innovators, entrepreneurs and creators who launch startups that bring ideas to commercialization and encourage the entrepreneurial spirit and activity. Events began last weekend at StartUp Weekend. CleanNG assisted with kicking off the Tulsa event this year, which had a great turnout.
Many people find hurdles and challenges to ideas they have for businesses and it can be argued whether or not you need to sit down and write a full business plan, but you do need to develop some sort of a plan. T. Boone Pickens mentioned how important developing a plan of action was to him when starting out at a recent presentation for TEDxOStateU held earlier in November at Oklahoma State University.
We’d like to encourage other entrepreneurs to follow their dreams and take action. Action is key.
